Hello ladies my name is Amy I go by arose on the board. I will start out by telling you a little about my self, I am 23 and have two beautiful children a girl and a boy, I am still with there wonderful father we just can't seem to actually get the married part though. Anyway I have probably wanted a BA since I was at least 15 years old I didn't seem to be getting boobs when everyone else was. I finally got a little B cup by the time I was 18, but I then went on to get pregnant and after the two kids the little that I did have shrunk down to not even being able to fill an A cup. Also not to mention every friend I have is either already well endowed or they have gotten a BA, so naturally I was felling left out. So this year me and my wonderful man were going to use my tax return money to get married, but he then started to question marriage again because another one of his friends got divorced, so I said screw it I am going to use the money to do something for me and I am getting my boobs.
I had already done some research on the procedure years before, but around the end of December I really started surfing the web to find out more and that's when I found this wonderful site and it had pretty much answered every question I had. As for the surgeon thing I live in St. George, UT and there isn't much choice only about three in town, unless I wanted to travel to Vegas or Salt Lake and I really didn't want to so I went with Steven Yearsley, the one surgeon that I knew had done a close friends BA and she loved him. Also my boss' sister in-law works for him so that made it an easier choice.
My process through this whole thing went so fast. I had got my W2's around the end of January and E-filed. I then scheduled my consult for February 3rd. The consult was great it was laid back and casual that's kind of how I like things. My Doc didn't really have to explain to much to me because of the info I had got from this site I did take in the consult questions from this site though and he went through them one by one answering them for me. He then did the measurement thing asked me about what size I wanted I told him a D so he told me to go buy a D bra and do the rice test and start with about 475 cc. I already knew I wanted smooth, round and under the muscle. So I went that night got a D cup bra and me and my man did the rice test I really wanted his opinion in the size he at first didn't want me to get a BA, but while doing the rice test he got more excited and was actually the one who wanted me to go bigger, we ended up liking 600 cc. So I got my tax refund back on February 7th went into the doctors that day and scheduled my surgery for the following Friday on February 14th.
My surgery was scheduled for nine in the morning, we went to his office and into a room where he put the IV in me and then he did the black marker thing on my chest we then talked and decided with McGhan 550 round/smooth/under the muscle and he was most comfortable with the crease incision so I was fine with that and he said he would overfill to 600 cc. He then put an antibiotic in the IV, then some anti-nausea medicine because I told him I was so excited I felt like I was going to throw up, then he put some morphine in and hello that hit me like a ton of bricks and I was feeling good. We then walked over to the room he does the surgery in and I laid down on the bed and he said he was going to put one more medication in the IV and that was the one that knocked me out. The next thing I remember is my man and nurse trying to help me get dressed I was talking to them but I really am not sure what I was saying I know I asked if I had big boobies now and what they were filled to they said 600 right and 630 on the left then I just remember them wheeling me out to the car, then I was home.
I had brought my wonderful friend down from Salt Lake to help me for the first week of recovery since and my wonderful mother did take my kids for the first two days, which is great since my son is only 18 months and a momma's boy so he is always all over me. When I first got home I just crashed on the couch other then I first tried to take a peek at them I had the ace bandage wrapped around me but was able to at least see the top half of them amazingly they looked pretty good. The first couple days I was just lazy and stayed on the couch because it hurt to bad to move and I was wondering what the hell I did to myself, slowly that feeling started to go away as the pain and pressure grew less and less daily. I was able to take the ace bandage off on the fourth day and I was so amazed at how great they looked, they weren't to high and I had absolutely no bruising and they were perfectly round the only thing was I maybe wanted them bigger. I went back to work the following Wednesday and I will tell you it sure is a bitch to drive after a surgery like that every turn felt like I was pulling the muscle apart, anyway my job is just a desk job so work wasn't to bad. On my 10th post-op day I went in to have my stitches out doctor said they looked great and I could were a bra because I wouldn't want mine to drop much more and he taught me to massage so I could soften these babies up. He then said he would see me in 6 weeks and that was that.
I am now just about three weeks post-op and I already love them, just needing them softer. I am very lucky because everyone around me was totally supportive of me doing this surgery, they knew how bad I wanted boobs, and I even had one friend that I think was more excited for it than I was. Any ways I will keep updating this journal as I get further along in my progress.
I love the breastimplants4you website it is the most informational and perfectly put together spot to do your homework for a BA. To all the girls that are thinking about getting this done just go for it you might regret it while you are still in pain, but pain goes away.
Amy!
