Cheryl’s Long Journey To 900cc
My journey began when I couldn’t stand to look at myself in the mirror any longer. I had my first BA in March of 1992 with no research and very little information other than a recommendation from a lady that I knew. She gave me the name and number of her surgeon So off I went…. I made the phone call, made the appointment he told me he could help me with what I was after.
The following Monday I was in surgery.. I went in looking like I had golf balls in tube socks. As you can see in the pictures I was asymmetrical so they put 375 in the one and 425 in the other. When I woke from surgery my blood pressure was low and I could not breathe, or so I thought.. The weight of the implants on my tiny chest was like wearing boulders. I don’t remember a lot of it.. I know it took about a week to recover before I was back to normal … I had McGhan textured round implants placed sub pec with a crease incision.. My apologies but the ps did not take post op pics and back then I was not thinking of a journal… To me they were beautiful and stayed that way for many yrs.

In October 1999 I had a rollover accident which caused a slow leak and a deflation. As you can see in the pictures they were very saggy and needed some help in the first place from my second pregnancy… I woke one morning after thinking to myself for days that my breasts REALLY needed a redo … and BAM one of them was totally gone… also as you can see in the pictures.. I panicked, called my husband at work crying that my boob was gone. EEK what to do??? My husband calmly told me to find a surgeon and we would get them fixed… I did, that day and had a consult the next day… this being an emergency in my mind they took me in the following Monday for replacement.. My implants were almost 10 yrs old at this point so I decided to have them both replaced and went with a larger implant in both..
I went with McGhan, textured, round 550cc placed under the muscle. This time the surgeon went through the areola and did what he called a partial lift. As you can very plainly see I had terrible scarring and was devastated. When I went to him with the complaint he told me nothing could be done that I had chosen an implant that was too large for me. This was in December of 1999.

My search began, I knew in my heart that I could not live with the awful scarring and could hardly bear having my husband look at me… After hundreds of phone interviews with surgeons (NONE of which would even consider going larger) I finally got word of a surgeon who had done larger implants…

I spoke with the office on the phone, made my appointment and went in for a consult.. This was in August of 2001… see I lived with the scars for quite a long time and it took all that time to find my surgeon. My surgeon agreed with some caution to go with the larger implant. I have McGhan , round, smooth, 850cc’s overfilled to 900.

900cc vs. a juice box; no competition
As you can see in the pictures he also did a fantastic job on the scars.. The first picture is 3 days post op and the suture line looks great.. The next set of pictures are at 3 weeks post op and you can barely see any scar at all!! I am thrilled and love the size.. I am 5’ 10” and now about 130 lbs, I can carry these very well and often forget how large the implants are. I am now 1 yr post op and still love them. I haven’t had much sagging yet although I thought I would need a lift by now. I am considering a lift for next yr… JUST so they can be as perky as a 20 yr olds.
